In 2012, the Bowie Boys & Girls Club (BBGC) started its Summer Cricket Program.  In 2014, the BEST Cricket League was founded to give elementary school kids the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game. Cricket teams were formed from the various schools, and principals, PE teachers, and parents have been able to see firsthand the benefits of cricket for their students.
